THE BENEFITS OF LIME PLASTER

Porous and open textured materials such as lime plasters, help to stabilize the internal humidity of a building by absorbing and releasing moisture. This makes for a more comfortable environment and reduces surface condensation and mould growth. Lime has less embodied energy than cement.

NHL – NATURAL HYDRAULIC LIME
It stands for nautrally hydraulic Lime. It combines the advantages of a classic lime plaster – bonding with CO2 – with the hardening by water absorption, without added cement and is preferably used in historical buildings to protect the building fabric.
O’Shea Plastering are experts in everything that is old and we love using lime plaster to bring them back to their former glory.
